What I Do

I am a creative writer, teacher, and content writer living in the Arkansas River Valley. With experience writing across forms, genres, and industries, my work transforms the complex into the digestible through deep attention. My work has appeared in nationally published magazines and I have produced content across digital media platforms.

I am an MFA candidate at the University of the South and worked previously as an editorial assistant with the team at the Oxford American. I am currently at work on a collection of short stories.

With the Russellville Writers' group, I teach adults the fine art of communication and creativity. Russellville Writers' Group is a community engagement project that facilitates literary events and educational opportunities in underserved rural communities in Arkansas. It began in 2024. You can find out about our upcoming events here.

I announce other opportunities to participate in courses and workshops with me in my newsletter. You can subscribe to that here.

I've worked in brandy strategy, digital marketing, and copy and content writing across a spectrum of industries, primarily with small businesses and start-ups. My work bridges the gaps between technical teams and their non-technical stakeholders, customers, and communities. My professional experience includes cybersecurity, publishing, education, and speciality markets.

When I am not working or writing, I am either outside with my daughter or inside cooking or baking something gluten free. I live in the beautiful Arkansas River Valley and enjoy calling this place my home.
